After reading two books by recovering stroke patients, I decided to look for additional inspiring books. This title intrigued me so I purchased and downloaded this to my Kindle as I still am not able to read a paper book because my left hand is still not functioning.I knew my husband has been through a lot taking care of me. I started reading this book and felt the author must have consulted with my husband because the book was so accurate describing the many stages and creative adaptations a dedicated caregiver goes through. The book is also quite inspiring, reading the many accomplishments of the patient Mavis. The author explained certain recovering stages that no one in the medical field shared or explained to me! For example why must I have complete silence when I drive? And after a busy day why am I mentally and physically drained?
Do yourself favor if you know anyone who has suffered a stroke or is the caregiver of a stroke patient read this book.

If you've been through a stroke, either the survivor or the spouse of the survivorr, you will relate to this book. To me, it is somewhat of a love story of a husband for his wife. I am a stroke survivor and the story touched my heart.
I will say, from the title "wheels for sale" I had hoped it was going to give me tips on walking again and getting rid of my wheelchair. But this was not the purpose of the book. Nevertheless, it was a well written book
